Legacy Ladies by FORTRESS is committed to ensuring that our website, educational programs, and community are accessible to everyone, including women living with disabilities. We believe wealth-building education should be inclusive, and we work continually to improve the experience for all members.
1. Our Standard
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological needs.
2. Accessibility Features
Across our website and learning platform, we provide:
- Captions and transcripts for course videos and recorded sessions
- Keyboard navigation for menus, forms, and interactive elements, with a visible "skip to content" link
- Screen-reader support through semantic structure, descriptive alt text, and labeled form fields
- Readable color contrast between text and background
- Responsive, mobile-friendly layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels
- Clear, consistent headings and a logical reading order
3. Downloadable Documents and Media
We aim to provide templates, workbooks, and downloadable resources in accessible formats. If you need a document, video, or resource in an alternative format (for example, a tagged PDF, large print, or a plain-text transcript), we will provide it at no additional cost.
4. Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We review our content on a regular cadence, test new features for accessibility before release, and train our team on inclusive practices. Some older content or third-party tools may not yet fully conform; where that is the case, we are actively working to remediate it.
5. Third-Party Content
Portions of our experience rely on third-party platforms (for example, payment processors, video hosting, and community software). While we choose partners with strong accessibility track records, we do not control their content and cannot guarantee their conformance. We are happy to help you find an accessible path to any feature.
6. Requesting Accommodations
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or if you need an accommodation to participate fully in any program, please contact us. Tell us the page or resource involved and the assistance you need, and we will respond promptly and work with you on a solution.
